Shelter hours:
Monday - Friday 12 p.m.-7 p.m.
Saturday - Sunday 12 p.m.-6 p.m.
HOLIDAY HOURS
The shelter is closed in observance of the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. The shelter closes early on Christmas Eve.
Directions to Our Shelter Facility—ROAD CONSTRUCTION ALERT
Due to construction on the Turner Road overpass as part of the effort to widen I-5, traffic is slow between the shelter and Airport Way. To bypass this construction, we suggest the following routes to the shelter:
From downtown Salem
Take Commercial SOUTH to Kuebler.
Turn LEFT on Kuebler.
Turn LEFT onto Turner Road SE.
Drive 1/2 mile. You will see the shelter on the right-hand side.
Please use the second driveway, just past the large WHS sign.
From I-5, heading South (from Portland)
Take Kuebler Blvd. (exit #252)
Turn LEFT onto Kuebler Blvd SE.
Turn LEFT onto Turner Road SE.
Drive 1/2 mile. You will see the shelter on the right-hand side.
Please use the second driveway, just past the large WHS sign.
From I-5, heading North (from Albany or Eugene)
Take Kuebler Blvd. exit #252.
Turn RIGHT onto Kuebler Blvd SE.
Turn LEFT onto Turner Road SE.
Drive 1/2 mile. You will see the shelter on the right-hand side.
Please use the second driveway, just past the large WHS sign.
