Shelter Wish List

If you’re thinking of bringing in a gift for the animals, here’s a list of their most-asked-for items.

We recognize these items range widely in price;some you might have at home, and others might be a purchase on your next shopping trip. Thank you in advance for donating items to support the animals at WHS!

Bags of unopened dry dog and cat food
Canned cat food (“ground” or “pate” varieties for kittens)
KMR (Kitten Milk Replacer)*
Kongs* (toys that provide kennel enrichment for dogs)
Grain (mare and foal ration, balanced senior sweet feed, LMF prime time feed)
Gerber Baby Food (to feed kittens; meat and meat gravy varieties only, please)

Feeding Supplies

Hot dogs (used as training treats for dogs)
Peanut butter or squeeze cheese in a can
Unopened dry dog and cat food (for the AniMeals or Pet Food Assistance program)
Wet cat and dog food for young and/or sick animals
(Please note WHS receives all dry food for the shelter animals from Science Diet*. If you have unopened dry food to donate, it will be used to support the AniMeals or Emergency Food Assistance program).
